Finding the best rental home experience:

When to go & When to reserve a rental home:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in coastal NC. Reserve your rental home in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guide magazines that include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select vacation dates and budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration you need. Ann St Cottage In The Heart Of Historic Beaufort has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible online. If you don't see them listed, call the host before reserving the rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is suitable for your group.
  • If there's a particular Beaufort, NC beach you long to visit, keep an eye out for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • During arrival, make note of any issues with the property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few issues.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Re-check the property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a fantastic stay? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
