How to find the best Beaufort, NC vacation property experience:

Getting the most from your rental home budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To get the best rental within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Beaufort, NC restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Some property managers offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides have money saving offers on local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Planning, picking, and booking the perfectvacation home:

  • Start by having your family select a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. 2BR oceanside duplex, steps from beach, dog friendly at no add't fee has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before you reserve the rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what is right for your family.
  • Looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or charges may be applied to your agreement.

Advice for a great stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
  • During arrival, record any damages to the property and immediately contact the host. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic source for finding the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
  • Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a great stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
