Our top Beaufort, NC rental home tips and tricks:

How to get the best value:

Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • The sooner you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers frequently offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area travel guides which will include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting and booking the bestvacation home:

  • Choose your dates and budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. 4BR duplex close to town and ocean front! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always available on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property owner before booking the property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If there's a specific Beaufort, NC beach you simply love, search for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
  • If your group is traveling with pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

Know before you go:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
  • To make certain no damages are attributed to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas during check in. Call the host right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a fantastic time? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
