How to book the best Beaufort, NC vacation rental experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property managers frequently offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Many rental management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitors guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family needs. A Herd Of Turtles, Almost Oceanfront House in Emerald Isle, NC! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC vacation rental search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking websites. If not, email the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what is best for your vacation family.
  • Is your group looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or might be applied to your contract.

Tips for a fantastic stay:

  • Add the host's contact info to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • During check-in, note any damages to the property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of problems.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible resource to find the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to confirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property a final time and look for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a excellent vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
