Beaufort, NC vacation rental booking tips:

When to visit & When to reserve a rental home:

  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To find the most suitable rental home for your budget, we recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Beaufort, NC attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides contain offers and deals for nearby tours and attractions.

How to pick the perfect rental:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Newly Renovated-Amazing 360 views of the Atlantic Ocean and Sound -with Pool. has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available online. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before you reserve your rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what is suitable for your vacation group.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

Know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Upon check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a wonderful time? Many rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
