Getting the best Beaufort, NC rental home experience:

When to go & When to book:

  • Summertime is high season in the Beaufort, NC area. To find the best value, try shifting your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Owners sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose and book the bestrental home:

  • Choose a group leader, choose your vacation dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. 4BR Home at the Point! 2nd Row from beach has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible online. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before booking the rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
  • Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the owner about your furry family members before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Document any damages to the property during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if a dispute is filed.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a fantastic time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
