Strategies to get the best Beaufort, NC rental home experience:

Get the best rental value:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To find the most suitable vacation home within budget, we recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guide magazines which include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting and booking the right Beaufort, NC rental:

  • Select vacation week and maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Beach Music, Oceanfront House in Emerald Isle, NC! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the property manager before you book your home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If your family is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's an individual Beaufort, NC attraction you crave, look for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of issues.
  • Lock your rental while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Note any damages to the property during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if a dispute arises.
  • Be respectful. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good feedback to propel more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
