How to find the best Beaufort, NC rental home experience:

How to get the best value:

  • The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • To get the best value, try changing your vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers frequently offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines have deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.

Choosing and booking the perfectrental home:

  • Start by having your family choose a vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Beach Parking & Walk to Sound Pier & No Stairs! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible online. If not, reach out to the property management company before reserving your rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine what configuration is optimal for your vacation family.
  • Some properties allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking

More tips for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many difficulties.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Make a record of any issues with the property at check in, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if there is a dispute.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a wonderful time? Many rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
