Vacation rental booking tips and tricks:

Finding your best deal:

  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Book your Beaufort, NC rental home in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines have offers and deals for local tours and attractions.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. 203 C-Sea Lookout: 4 BR, 3 BA Condominium in Atlantic Beach, Sleeps 10 has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.

Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or could be applied to your contract.

  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Take a copy of the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental while you are out. Keep your property safe!
  • At Check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Just before checking out, take a walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a terrific vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
