How to book the best Beaufort, NC vacation home experience:

Finding your perfect rental:

  • To get the best value, change your trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
  • The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guides have money saving offers on local tours, shops, and attractions.

How to choose and book yourrental:

  • Start by selecting your vacation dates and a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Carolina Can ~ ????? 3 Story Family Home ???? 1 row back with amazing ocean views ???? has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible online. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before you book the property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
  • Are you looking for unique amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the owner about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

Advice for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
  • At Check-in, make note of any issues with the property and immediately contact the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to propel future reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
