Strategies for getting the perfect vacation rental experience:

Sticking to a budget:

  • June, July, and August are high season in Beaufort. To find the best value, consider changing your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic.
  • The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, travel guides contain money saving offers on local accommodations and attractions.

Filter your search:

  • Start by selecting a vacation week and a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Luxury with Pool, Jacuzzi, and Gym! Private Gated Community and Walk to Beach! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC vacation rental search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking pages. If not, call the host before booking your home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what is best for your family.
  • Is your group looking for specific amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.

During your stay:

  • We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To make certain that damages are not linked to your family's stay, note any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the host right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on good reviews to drive new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
