Strategies for getting the perfect Atlantic Beach vacation home experience:

Getting the best value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Atlantic Beach. To find the best value, consider shifting your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Reserving your rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Hosts sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
  • Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • First and foremost, have your family select vacation dates and a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. A Gorgeous Condo Located In The Heart Of Atlantic Beach! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible online. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before reserving your rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to establish what is right for your family.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges might be applied to your invoice.

More tips for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To ensure that no damages are linked to your stay, record any problem areas when you arrive. text the property manager right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your quiet neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
