Our top Rental booking tips:

Finding the best value:

  • To find the best rental within budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Beaufort, NC attractions.
  • The sooner your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC area magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides have money saving offers on nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Selecting and booking the bestrental:

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your dates, and select a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration you need. Condo with on-site beach access, pools, grill\/picnic areas, & private balcony has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before you reserve your home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If there's a specific Beaufort, NC beach you simply love, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the host about your furry family members before booking.

More tips for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
  • During arrival, note any damages to the property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your peace. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and look for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a excellent vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
