How to find the best Atlantic Beach vacation home experience:

Getting the most from your rental budget:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • To find the largest rental within your budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guides which often include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose and book a perfectrental home:

  • Start by having your group choose a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Great Get away, 3rd Floor, Ocean View Beach Condo has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property management company before booking your rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is optimal for your group.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • If there's a specific Beaufort, NC attraction you long to visit, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your phone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of concerns.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • During check-in, record any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a great stay? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
