When to go & When to book:

Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Some owners offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Booking websites typically offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area visitors guide magazines which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Use filters to narrow your search:

More considerations for your visit:

  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • To make certain that no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the host right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a great stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
