Booking the best Atlantic Beach vacation home experience:

When to visit Atlantic Beach & When to book:

  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are high season in the Beaufort, NC area. To get the most suitable vacation home within your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guides which often include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Start by selecting your trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Newly Remodeled Charming Beach Cottage with Private Pool in Historic Salter Path has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible online. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before you book the home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • If there's an individual Beaufort, NC destination you crave, keep an eye out for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

Know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many problems.
  • Lock your rental home while you're away. Protect your property!
  • Note any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to stimulate new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
