Rental booking tips and tricks:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Summer is high season in the Beaufort, NC area. To book the most suitable rental within budget, we highly recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area travel guides that include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning, picking, and booking the perfect Beaufort, NC rental:

  • Start by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. Oceanfront Bliss In Atlantic Beach, NC has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before you reserve your home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what configuration is best for your vacation group.
  • If there's an individual Beaufort, NC destination you long to visit, look for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or applied to your agreement.

More tips for your visit:

  • Add the host's contact information to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To make certain damages are not attributed to your family's stay, note any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the property manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
  • At departure, complete a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on good ratings to propel more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
