Tips and Tricks to get the best rental experience:

When to go & When to book:

  • Booking your vacation rental in the Spring or Fall is a great way to save on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC area magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines have offers and deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

How to choose the best vacation rental in Atlantic Beach:

  • Start by choosing your the best vacation week and a budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Oceanfront condo with 3 shared pools, 2 seaside balconies, and sound side dock. has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the property manager before reserving the home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what bed configuration is best for your vacation family.
  • Looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
  • If your family is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers charge additional pet fees.

More tips for your visit:

  • We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Upon arrival, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of problems.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your rental home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a great vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
