Tips to get the perfect rental experience:

Get the best rental home value:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in Pine Knoll Shores. Booking in the Fall or Spring is a good way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property management companies often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC area magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Planning and choosing the right Beaufort, NC rental:

  • First, have your family commit to the best dates and a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Oceanfront Escape - Oceanfront House in Pine Knoll Shores, NC! has 7 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before you book the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what is right for your vacation group.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

Considerations for your stay:

  • We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To make certain damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. text the rental manager right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers bothering your life at home. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would've not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a wonderful stay? Many rental managers make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
