Tricks and tips to get the very best rental home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in Emerald Isle. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Choosing the best vacation rental in the Beaufort, NC area:

  • Begin by selecting vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Oceanview, close to beach, pool, fire pit, dog friendly with no extra fee! has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the host before reserving the home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If there's a specific Beaufort, NC beach you love, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Add the property manager's contact information to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • To make sure that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the property manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental while you are away. Protect your property!
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a excellent stay? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
