Tricks and tips to get the perfect rental experience:

Sticking to a spending budget:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Booking your Beaufort, NC vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is a great way to save on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • Hosts sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC area magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides contain deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Make a plan and pick the bestrental home:

  • First, have your family select trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration you need. PEACE AND QUIET.. residential has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rental home search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking pages. If not, email the property manager before you book the home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

Considerations for your stay:

  • We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your stay, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. Speak to the rental manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on good ratings to compel future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
