Tricks and tips to get the very best Beaufort, NC vacation property experience:

Getting the most from your rental home budget:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To find the best value, try changing your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitors guide magazines which often include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available online. If they are not listed, call the property management company before reserving the property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.

  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental home while you're away. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a excellent stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
