If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?

If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
