Finding the best Emerald Isle rental home experience:

Getting the best rental home value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Booking in the Spring or Fall is a good way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guides that include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to choose and book a perfectrental:

  • Choose vacation week and max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Prime Location 2nd row!!! Beautiful beach views from the deck!! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is often accessible online. Otherwise, call the property owner before you book the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If there's a certain Beaufort, NC beach you love, search for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Add the owner's information to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Record any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few problems.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • At departure, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
