Getting the best vacation home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To get the largest vacation home within budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at Beaufort, NC restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Some owners offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area travel guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. How to choose the perfect vacation home in the Beaufort, NC area:

  • Select vacation dates and budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Rita’s Rejuvenating Oceanfront has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible online. If not, contact the property owner before you reserve the home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish what is right for your group.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.
  • If there's a specific Beaufort, NC destination you are enamored with, keep an eye out for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

During your stay:

  • We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • During arrival, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your peaceful home life. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would've not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on great feedback to compel new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
