Tips to get the best vacation home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in Emerald Isle. Book your rental property in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Booking your rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.

  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.

If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition.
