Booking the best Emerald Isle rental experience:

Find your perfect vacation home:

  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Beaufort, NC area. Reserve your rental in Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • Some owners offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Booking websites typically offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guide magazines which often include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Selecting and booking the right Beaufort, NC vacation home:

  • Begin by selecting your the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Sounds Perfect - Bright and airy sound front home w\/dock. 2 blocks to the beach! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, call the property manager before reserving your rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or charges might be applied to your contract.
  • Looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking

During your stay:

  • Add the host's phone number to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Document any damages to the property during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if a dispute arises.
  • Be respectful. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a terrific vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
