Tips and Tricks for getting the perfect Indian Beach vacation home experience:

Finding your best deal:

  • To book the largest vacation home within budget, we highly recommend reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The sooner your group can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers often offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area travel guides which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Make a plan and choose the perfectrental home:

  • Start by selecting your the best vacation week and a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Spacious, Two Bedroom Condo at the Center of the Crystal Coast has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the property management company before reserving the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you must book a rental that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your visit:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • Document any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on great ratings to stimulate future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
