When to visit & When to reserve a Beaufort, NC rental home:

  • To get the best rental home for your budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at Beaufort, NC restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area travel guides that include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

  • Begin by selecting your the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Suncatcher, Almost Oceanfront House in Pine Knoll Shores, NC! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rental home search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible online. If you don't see them listed, call the host before booking the vacation home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what configuration is suitable for your vacation.
  • If there's a specific Beaufort, NC destination you crave, keep an eye out for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

Advice for a wonderful stay:

  • Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Document any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to drive more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
