Getting the best Beaufort, NC vacation rental experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Book your rental in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The earlier you can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Some hosts offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Many property management companies supply Beaufort, NC area travel guide magazines that include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Filter your rental search:

  • Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Waterfront Waterway Home in Beaufort on the Neuse River, Family and Pet friendly has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the host before you book the vacation home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what is optimal for your group.
  • Visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a property that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.

More tips for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Make a record of any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if a dispute is filed.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your peace. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • At departure, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on good feedback to propel future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
