Tricks and tips to get the very best vacation home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Atlantic Beach. Book your rental in the Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property management companies often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines contain deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Choosing and booking the rightvacation home:

  • To start, have your family commit to trip dates and a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. 1st Floor Unit With Ocean View, Swimming Pool, Elevators has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible online. If not, email or call the property manager before you reserve your rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to determine what configuration is right for your family.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you must book a pet-friendly property. Ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a particular Beaufort, NC beach you are crazy about, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental

More considerations for your visit:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your phone.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • To make certain that damages aren't linked to your stay, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic resource to find the best local spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to drive future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
