Getting the best vacation property experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a Beaufort, NC rental home:

  • Summertime is high season in Atlantic Beach. To get the largest rental home within budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines have offers and deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select your vacation dates and max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. 1st Floor Unit With Ocean View, Swimming Pool, Elevators has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before booking your rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
  • If there's an individual Beaufort, NC attraction you love, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • Some rentals allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.

Know before you go:

  • Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Record any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few problems.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a excellent stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
