Tips for getting the perfect vacation home experience:
When to go & When to book:
- Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To get the largest rental home within budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities.
- The sooner you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Booking your rental home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property management companies often offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Look for your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides contain offers and deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Make a plan and choose the perfectrental home:
- To start, have your family decide on date ranges and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. \"Jackpot\" ~ 1304 Queens Court ~ 2Bd\/2Ba Top Floor Oceanfront Condo ~ Elevator has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property owner before reserving your rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to establish what configuration is right for your trip.
- Are you visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or charges applied to your agreement.
More considerations:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
- To ensure that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas during check in. text the rental manager immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peace. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would've not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
- Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a fantastic time? Most rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
