How to get the best Emerald Isle vacation property experience:

Get the most from your spending budget:

  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are high season in Emerald Isle. Booking your Beaufort, NC vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Many management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guides which include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Selecting the best rental home in the Beaufort, NC area:

  • Select vacation dates and budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. 2-bedroom, Oceanside unit in Emerald Isle w\/ kids bunk room, 3-min walk to beach has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking pages. If not, contact the property manager before you reserve the home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a property that allows animals. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .

Additional considerations:

  • Add the host's contact information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • During arrival, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a fantastic stay? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
