Tips and Tricks to get the best rental home experience:

Sticking to a rental budget:

  • Summer time is high season in Beaufort. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring is a good way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitors guides that include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting and booking yourrental:

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Cabin: Lower Winter prices! Snowbirds Welcome! Bring your boat for fall fishing has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the host before you book the property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
  • If there's a specific Beaufort, NC destination you are crazy about, keep an eye out for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or may be applied to your contract.

Tips for a great stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. Speak to the rental manager immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of issues.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
  • At departure, take a walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on good feedback to inspire more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
