Finding the best Beaufort vacation property experience:

Finding your perfect rental:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in Beaufort. To get the best value, try shifting your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area visitors guides which include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning and choosing your Beaufort, NC vacation home:

  • First and foremost, have your group commit to vacation dates and a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Cabin: Lower Winter prices! Snowbirds Welcome! Bring your boat for fall fishing has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before reserving your rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what is best for your vacation group.
  • Is your family looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.

Additional considerations:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Note any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of concerns.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a great source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
  • Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a terrific stay? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
