How to get the best rental experience:

Find your perfect vacation home:

  • June, July, and August are high season in the Beaufort, NC area. Booking your Beaufort, NC vacation rental in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes.
  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Property management companies often offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides have offers and deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.

Selecting and booking a perfect Beaufort, NC rental:

  • To start, have your group select dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Oceanside Condo in Atlantic Beach, NC-Anchors Away Unit 3 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property management company before you book your rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is suitable for your vacation.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property managers charge additional pet fees.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Put the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make certain that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, record any problem areas during arrival. Contact the rental manager immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a excellent vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
