Atlantic Beach just made #16 in the list of Top 100 Beaches in the United States, beating out even beaches in Hawaii! Truly a hidden gem, as this part of the island doesn't have public access, beyond a few cars, so it's just folks staying right there.

My favorite spots here are the broad with outdoor areas, including dining, humongous sectional couches, and fire table to appreciate as the sun goes down. I adore that I can hear the waves crash from here.

Tips to get the best Beaufort, NC rental home experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in Atlantic Beach. To get the best value, consider shifting your family's Beaufort, NC vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Many management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guide magazines which include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Filter your search:

  • Start by having your group agree to the best dates and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Barefoot Beach: Spectacular Family Beach Retreat! has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rentals search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before booking your rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out what is suitable for your group.
  • Does your family require special amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a rental that allows animals. Request information on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property owners charge additional pet fees.

Tips for a fantastic stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
  • During check-in, note any damages to the property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to make sure you've collected everything. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on good ratings to stimulate new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
