Our top Rental home tips:

When to visit & When to reserve a Beaufort, NC rental home:

  • To get the best value, consider changing your family's Beaufort, NC vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The earlier you can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Some hosts offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guides contain coupons for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Filter your search:

  • Start by having your family select vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Beautiful Bogue Shores 1st Floor Studio with Beach & Sound Access has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email the property owner before reserving the rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is right for your vacation family.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable breeds and types before booking.

During your stay:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Document any damages to the property during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if a dispute is filed.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your quiet neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
  • Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a wonderful time? Most rental managers make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
