Strategies to get the perfect Emerald Isle vacation rental experience:

Get the best rental value:

  • The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Reserve your Beaufort, NC vacation home in Fall or Spring months to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area travel guides that include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Make a plan and pick the perfect Beaufort, NC rental home:

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation week, and select a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Sound of the Sea West 213 - Almost Oceanfront 1BR, 1BA, complex amenities has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before booking the rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or charges might be applied to your invoice.
  • Does your family require special amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

Tips for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
  • Document any issues with the property at check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a fantastic stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
