Our top Vacation rental booking tips:

Finding your best deal:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Beaufort. Booking your vacation rental in Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area travel guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • To start, have your group agree to date ranges and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Nimbus Novem Studio Apt - Beaufort, NC has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible online. If not, reach out to the property manager before booking the property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a rental that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Is your family looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking

Know before you go:

  • Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Note any damages to the property at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute arises.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all belongings. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a fantastic time? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
