Strategies for getting the best Atlantic Beach rental home experience:

When to book a Beaufort, NC rental & When to go:

  • Reserve your Beaufort, NC rental property in the Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

How to pick the perfect rental in Atlantic Beach:

  • First and foremost, have your family choose a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration you need. Ocean Sands 204A, Oceanside Condo in Atlantic Beach, NC! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible online. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before reserving the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to establish what is suitable for your trip.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
  • Some properties allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

More tips for your visit:

  • Add the property manager's contact information to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Upon check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many issues.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent resource to find the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to confirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to compel future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
