Tips to get the perfect rental experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • To book the largest vacation home within budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property management companies often offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area travel guide magazines that include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Narrow your Search:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and choose a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Ocean View Condo - Ocean View Escape has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before booking the vacation property. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or charges might be applied to your contract.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

More considerations:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of problems.
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
  • Make a record of any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your life at home. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and look for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a terrific vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
