Strategies to get the best vacation property experience:

Finding your perfect rental:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To find the best value, change your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitors guides which will include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Make a plan and pick the rightrental:

  • Start by having your group select date ranges and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Studio Condo at Atlantic Beach waiting for you to come and play :) has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the property owner before reserving the vacation home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what is best for your vacation.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental

Some things to know before you go:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • To make certain no damages are attributed to your family's stay, record any problem areas during check in. message the property manager immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on good feedback to inspire new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
