Strategies to get the optimal Beaufort, NC vacation property experience:

Find your perfect rental home:

  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Book your vacation home in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Owners sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Often, management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guides which will include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose the best vacation rental in Indian Beach:

  • To start, have your family choose trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. Beautiful oceanfront view has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Some properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the owner about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
  • To make certain damages aren't linked to your family's visit, record any problem areas when you arrive. Call the host right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a fantastic stay? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
