Beaufort, NC rental home booking tips and tricks:

Finding your perfect vacation home:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in the Beaufort, NC area. To get the best value, try shifting your family's Beaufort, NC vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers frequently offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain discounts for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

How to pick the perfect vacation home:

  • To start, have your family decide on the best dates and a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Beautiful Sunsets, Wide Beach and You Can Bring Your Dog! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the host before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what configuration is optimal for your group.
  • Looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you must book a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts charge additional pet fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
  • To make sure damages aren't linked to your stay, inspect for any problem areas during check in. E-mail the host right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your peace and quiet. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • On check-out day, take a final walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on great ratings to stimulate new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
