Rental home booking tips:

Find your perfect rental:

  • The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Book your vacation home in Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies typically offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Many property management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guides which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration you need. Bella Vista Beach Condo - Beautiful view 3rd floor has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the host before you book the vacation property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Put the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
  • Lock your rental while you are out. Keep your property safe!
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, record any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the host right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a fantastic time? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
