Tricks and tips to get the perfect Beaufort, NC rental home experience:

When to go & When to book:

  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The earlier your group can book, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Summer months are high season in the Beaufort, NC area. Booking your vacation rental in Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby shops and restaurants.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • Select dates and max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Blue Heron in the heart of Beaufort, it is a 5 star home! has 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC vacation rental search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property owner before you reserve the home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.
  • If there's an individual Beaufort, NC destination you simply love, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of issues.
  • Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
  • To make sure damages are not linked to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the property manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • On check-out day, take a walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a great time? Most rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
