Tricks and tips to get the very best Beaufort, NC rental home experience:

Find your perfect rental home:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • To get the largest vacation home within budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC area magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guides have discounts for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Planning, picking, and booking the bestrental:

  • Choose your vacation dates and budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Broad Street Bungalow
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the host before you book your home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a rental that allows animals. Get details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • If there's a specific Beaufort, NC destination you love, search for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Additional considerations:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of difficulties.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
  • To make certain damages are not linked to your stay, record any problem areas during arrival. Make contact with the rental manager immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a wonderful time? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
