Historic downtown Beaufort is yours to savor and discover at this updated bungalow in the heart of town. Eateries, cafes, stores, the Olde Beaufort Farmers Market - they're all within blocks of you here.

This home features a prime location for exploring North Carolina's Crystal Coast, with downtown Beaufort and the farmers market only two blocks south. In addition to having the North Carolina Maritime Museum around the corner, you'll be a short and spectacular drive from the beach on Radio Island (less than three miles), Atlantic Beach (seven miles), and Fort Macon State Park (nine miles).

Begin each morning outside on the classic front porch, sipping your first cup of coffee, reading the newspaper in a rocking chair, and watching the neighborhood wake up. Back inside, you'll be greeted by the comfort of central air conditioning, complimentary WiFi to help you plan the day's excursions, and a breezy, open layout that makes spending time together effortless. Appreciate a modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a dining area, and a living room where you can screen your favorite movies in the evenings.

Located in Beaufort, this vacation home is by the sea. Beaufort Historic Site and Core Creek Bridge are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Morehead City Yacht Basin and Town Creek Marina. North Carolina Maritime Museum and Mount Maker Charters are also worth visiting.

Money saving strategies:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines have coupons for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

  • Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property a final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a fantastic stay? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
