Tricks and tips to get the best Beaufort, NC vacation property experience:

When to go & When to book:

  • Booking your Beaufort, NC vacation home in Fall or Spring months is a great way to save on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Many management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guides that include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and choose a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Canal-Front Condo with 5' Deep Water Boat Slip, AC, W\/D & Walkable Location has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property manager before booking the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If there's an individual Beaufort, NC beach you crave, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a property that allows animals. Request details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

During your stay:

  • Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • During arrival, note any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few problems.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental home while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on good feedback to stimulate future reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
