Tips for getting the perfect Beaufort, NC rental experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Summer time is high season in the Beaufort, NC area. To find the most suitable rental within your budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • Some owners offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Many property management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitors guides that include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Finding the perfect vacation home in the Beaufort, NC area:

  • Select a group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Updated beach cottage with enclosed patio, 2 decks, grill, AC, & W\/D has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the host before booking the home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is right for your trip.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.
  • If there's a particular Beaufort, NC attraction you long to visit, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

Advice for a wonderful stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Make a record of any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if a dispute is filed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your peaceful home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on great ratings to drive new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
