Getting the best rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • To find the best value, consider shifting your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Some property management companies offer promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guides which include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning, picking, and booking the perfectrental:

  • Start by choosing the best vacation week and a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Sound Of The Sea North 212, Almost Oceanfront Condo in Emerald Isle, NC! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking pages. If not, email or call the host before booking the home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.
  • Is your family looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Store the owner's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few difficulties.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
  • Note any damages to the property during check in, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a excellent stay? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
